Day 1 - Beijing- Kunming(09 May):

Connecting flight from Beijing Daxing airport to Kunming. 

Current flight availability based on proposed dates. Updated availabilty will be checked at the time of booking.

When the team arrives at Kunming Changshui(long river) Airport, the local tour guide will be waiting at the airport and take the tourists to the hotel. If it is at night, we will have dinner near the airport; if there is enough time, we will go to the food street near Shuncheng Mosque in the center of Kunming for dinner.

Day2 – Kunming(10 May):

Breakfast near to the hotel. Tour round Kunming city. 

Morning: Green Lake Park (Historical Oasis)

Start your journey at Green Lake Park, a 21-hectare green oasis in the city that has been Kunming's "green lung" since the Ming Dynasty. The legend of the "Nine Dragon Pond" by the lake can be traced back to the Yuan Dynasty water conservancy project. Stop by the adjacent Yunnan Army Academy.

Noon: Cultural Landmarks and Faith Experience

Go to Shuncheng Mosque and taste authentic Muslim food such as beef jerky and fried cakes at Yitian Garden next to the mosque.

Afternoon: Architectural Treasures and Heritage Districts

Visit the Daguan Tower in the afternoon and climb the three-story wooden pavilion from the Qing Dynasty. Then wander around Kunming Old Street (Civilization Street Historic District), a late Qing Dynasty (19th century) building complex listed as a provincial cultural heritage, horse caravan shops, French-style arcades.

Evening to Night: Downtown Kunming

We will visit Nanping Street, the most lively street in the whole Yunnan Province, in the center of Kunming, and eat Chinese barbecue near Shuncheng Mosque nearby.

Day 3 – Kunming- Lijiang(11 May):

After breakfast, 

Morning: Crossing the Yunnan Karst Corridor

Depart from Kunming City (recommended 7:30-8:00AM)

Drive south along the Kunshi Expressway from Kunming City for about 1.5 hours. Along the way, you can enjoy the hills and terraces of the karst landforms in central Yunnan and feel the transition from "Spring City" to "Stone Forest Wonderland".

Passing through Yiliang County (arrived at about 9:30)

Enjoy the special Yiliang Muslim roast duck (crispy skin, tender meat, using traditional hanging oven technology) at the authentic Muslim restaurant in Yiliang County and experience the food culture of the Hui Muslims in Yunnan.

Noon to afternoon: In-depth exploration of the wonders of the Stone Forest

Stone Forest Scenic Area Tour (about 11:30-16:00)

Big Stone Forest Scenic Area: Cross the maze-like stone peaks and feel the uncanny craftsmanship of the 270 million-year-old karst landforms.

Evening: Drive to Najiaying Muslim Cultural Village, Tonghai

Shilin to Najiaying, Tonghai (depart at about 16:30, 2 hours by car)

Check in at the hotel next to Najiaying Mosque.

Evening: Quiet night in Muslim village

Visit Najiaying Mosque: one of the largest mosques in southwest China.

Dinner experience: Enjoy Tonghai Hui muslim banquet at the Muslim restaurant in the village.

Day 4 – Najiaying– Jianshui(12 May):

Early morning: Najiaying morning market experience (8:30-9:00)

Start the morning at Najiaying village morning market and taste Hui special buns (such as beef filling, red bean paste filling) and Yunnan rice noodles.

Visit Najiaying Ancient Mosque (9:30-10:30)

Visit the old mosque, a traditional Chinese mosque.

The inscription in the mosque records that it was built in the third year of Hongwu in the early Ming Dynasty (1370), witnessing the fusion of Islamic culture and Chinese culture.

Morning to noon: Najiaying to Jianshui (11:00-12:30, about 1.5 hours by car)

Lunch at Jianshui Mosque and Ancient City (12:30-16:00)

Arrived at Jianshui City Mosque and Ancient Mosque (built in 1312, the oldest mosque in Yunnan)

Lunch at a halal restaurant next to the mosque. Must-order Jianshui braised tofu (cooked on the outside and tender on the inside, dipped in chili noodles and fermented bean curd sauce), grass sprout rice noodles (with local aquatic grass sprouts to enhance the freshness), served with refreshing papaya water, to experience the taste of harmony between Yunnan Muslims and Han Chinese.

Afternoon to evening: Purple Pottery Street (18:00-20:00)

Walking along Jianshui Purple Pottery Street, you can observe purple pottery made from local special clay. It is also a famous food street with many halal foods. Barbecue and snacks are recommended.

Day 5 – Jianshui ancient town(13 May) :

Morning: Jianshui Ancient City

9:00 Go to a Muslim restaurant near Jianshui Ancient City for breakfast.

9:00 - 11:00 Visit Jianshui Ancient City, which has a history of more than 1,200 years. Chaoyang Tower is the landmark of Jianshui Ancient City, where you can enjoy the exquisite architectural style.

11:00 - 12:00 Go to Zhujia Garden. Zhujia Garden is a large-scale residential building from the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912). Here you can enjoy exquisite wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings and other architectural art, and experience the life scenes of the wealthy families in the old days.

Noon: Enjoy lunch

12:00 - 13:30 During lunch time, go to the Muslim restaurant in Jianshui Ancient City for dinner.

Afternoon: Shuanglong(double dragon) Bridge and surrounding areas

13:30 - 14:30 Go to Shuanglong Bridge, which is about 20-30 minutes by car.

14:30 - 16:30 Visit Shuanglong Bridge. Shuanglong Bridge is an ancient bridge with beautiful shape and is known as the "Seventeen-Arch Bridge".

Evening: Return and dinner

18:30 - 20:00 Choose a halal restaurant for dinner and taste halal barbecue, such as grilled lamb kebabs, beef, grilled vegetables, etc.

Day 6 - Jianshui- Shadian(14 May):

Shadian is the most famous Muslim town in China, where tens of thousands of Hui Muslims live and there are 10 mosques.

9:00-11:00, after having breakfast near Jianshui Mosque, we will set off and arrive in Shadian in about 1 hour, heading to Shadian Grand Mosque. Shadian Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in southwest my country and one of the 100 famous mosques in the country. It has an investment of 20 million US dollars and can accommodate more than 10,000 people to pray inside.

11:00-12:00: Stroll around Shadian Grand Mosque, learn about the Hui culture and living customs of Shadian, and appreciate the local Islamic architecture and street scenes.

Noon

12:00-13:30: Dine at a Muslim restaurant in Shadian and taste local specialties. The Hui cuisine in Shadian is mainly beef and mutton.

15:00 Check in hotel

17:00 Visit other mosques in Shadian and experience Chinese Muslim culture. Such as Chuanfangzhai Mosque (Chinese Sufi Mosque), Xiying Mosque (all-wooden Chinese mosque)

20:00 Dine at a halal restaurant in Shadian.

Day 7 Shadian-Yuanyang(15 May)

Early morning: Enjoy halal breakfast at Shadian morning market (7:00 - 8:00)

Start the beautiful morning at the lively morning market in Shadian, taste beef rice noodles, and feel the smoothness of rice noodles and the mellowness of beef soup.

Morning: Depart from Shadian to Yuanyang (8:00 - 12:00)

Depart from Shadian to Yuanyang. Since the journey is long, we need to eat on the way.

Afternoon: Go to Azheke Village (12:30 - 13:30)

After arriving in Yuanyang, go to Azheke Village. Azheke Village is located in the core area of ​​the Red River Hani Terraces, a world cultural heritage site. It is a typical ancient village of the Hani people (one of China's ethnic minorities) and retains a large number of traditional Hani mushroom houses.

Azheke Village Exploration Tour (13:30 - 16:30)

Visit the folk culture exhibition hall in the village to learn about the history, costumes, farming culture, etc. of the Hani people. Walk along the terrace trail and get close to the spectacular terrace landscape.

Evening to night: Return to Shadian (16:30 - 20:30)

Day 8 Shadian-Kunming(16 May)

Have meal in Shadian. (9:00)

Morning: Depart from Shadian to Kunming (10:00-13:00)

Go to Kunming. On the way, you can enjoy the scenery along the way through the car window and feel the regional changes from Shadian to Kunming.

Tour of Guandu Ancient Town in Kunming (13:00 - 14:30)

After arriving in Kunming, go to Guandu Ancient Town first. This is a famous historical and cultural ancient town in Kunming, with many ancient buildings, such as the Vajra Seat Pagoda.

Taste Guandu's special halal food in the ancient town.

Afternoon: Visit Yunnan Provincial Museum (15:00 - 17:00)

Go to Yunnan Provincial Museum, which has a large collection of cultural relics. You can learn about Yunnan's long history and unique culture through visiting. From the bronze ware of the ancient Dian Kingdom to various exhibits in modern times, you can deeply appreciate the charm of Yunnan.

Evening: eat in halal restaurant nearby and visit Kunming Shopping Center (17:00 - 20:00)

Day 9 Kunming(17 May)

After breakfast, we headed to Kunming Airport for departure flight to Beijing Daxing airport
